INNOVENTIONS

As the name might indicate, this pavilion is about the new inventions and technology we can expect to see in the not-so-distant future. Spread out over two immense buildings in the center of Future World, Innoventions features the technology that will one-day impact our daily lives. The Innoventions East building is geared towards adults as manufacturers like General Electric demonstrate the latest products available to the home of the future. You can see a completely automated home or connect to the Web on some of the available computers.

Innoventions West is a kid’s dream come true as companies like Sega display a world of new video games and technology. This building also has interactive displays on the Internet and communication. Most of the displays in Innoventions are hands-on, so it might be hard to drag the kids away from all the new games. Don’t get too impatient because in the mean time you can e-mail or sent a fax postcard anywhere. The cavernous building rarely gets too crowded, but go first thing in the morning if you want to play with the exhibits without a line behind you. It’s worth at least a quick look.
